Why not "let them" buy you one as an Apple repair part - surely their still
available.... Are they??

Or, with all of the geeks and tech heads on this list - how hard would it be
to make a new one?   - or repair the components on the old one?

I don't know much about the dc board really - just thoughts that come to
mind following this topic.
