Sorry, I forgot to tell you that both cards are fanless, what was my reason to buy them. The GeForce seems to have several models, mine is fanless! >Good question Allan > >I am awaiting arrival of my Powerlogix card and will soon make the >jump to a video card which will support the 20" flat panel monitor. >My Seagate 7200/8mb/120gig hard drive (just installed) is >practically inaudible, which is a blessing, but my 32meg Radeon BTO >(with fan) all but makes up for it! I have my fingers crossed the >Powerlogix card will not make it's presence known except for the >whizzing pixels. Any suggestions for the video card? Fans, fans, and >more noisy fans! Is it the price we HAVE to pay to have an original >Cube? > >David > Hi David, I tested both, the ATI Radeon 8500 and an GeForce 4 MX (both from macs) in my cube. Both are fanless (!). I didn't compare the two cards, but I'm working with the GeForce 4 MX, and it doesn't become hot with my 17' Formac TFT. The ATI is waiting for better times (or reserve) Main reason for changing the cards was the wish to use two monitors when necessary. You know about the necessity to search for an new place for the DC-board and to buy (or to build as I did) an new cable therefore? Stevie
