Does someone have a solution to this problem? Since I upgraded to Panther (I haven't made a clean install, I just installed it over Jaguar), I sometimes have my USB speakers badly initialized during the boot process: the sound balance is to the left, or to the right (I keep the sound balance always centered), and when I open the Sound panel in the System Prefs, there's no balance slider at all. I have to unplug an replug the USB Speakers to have the balance slider reapper (and then I can correct the sound balance). My USB Speakers are plugged in one of the USB ports of my Apple Studio Display 17" CRT ADC, so it's a pretty standard configuration...
