Looking at Anthony's post, that doesn't appear to be the case, since he mentions a thermal plate. The gigadesigns web site isn't too helpful, but it shows the card for the blue and white upgrade has a heatsink / fan attached. Looking at the installation instructions for the powerlogix cpu, it appears that the heatsink for the cpu runs the whole length of the motherboard, so it's not likely that the gigadesigns cpu has one, although I haven't done the upgrade, and my cube is at home. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the GD Cube Upgrade come with it's own copper heatsink/spreader (already attached to the CPU card)? So if one would want to put thermal grease in between, they would have to remove the heatsink, apply, then reassemble the heatsink? For some reason, I remember reading that it comes with it's own heatsink attached... So maybe the thermal paste isn't necessary? - Leo ---------- Check out the Cube email list FAQ http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/Cube.html To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <Cube-off at lists.themacintoshguy.com> To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to <Cube-digest at lists.themacintoshguy.com> Need help from a real person?
