Even though these drives are the same drives Apple uses in their notebooks (powermacs), these OEM drives do not have APPLE firmware installed. So you will have to use something like PatchBurnII (http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/feedback/patchburn2_feedback.html#storytop) to get fully compatibility.
