Easy solution is simply to leave the existing account alone and create a new one for her with administrative rights. Then if you ever need to fix anything on the machine you'll have your own account. Worth noting is that administrative rights does _not_ give you root access, ie easy browse access to other user's files. Not to say it isn't possible, but by default admin rights doesn't let you browse other users' private foldesr.
