Easy solution is simply to leave the existing account alone and create a
new one for her with administrative rights. Then if you ever need to fix
anything on the machine you'll have your own account. Worth noting is
that administrative rights does _not_ give you root access, ie easy browse
access to other user's files. Not to say it isn't possible, but by default
admin rights doesn't let you browse other users' private foldesr.

Objet : [CUBE] Changing administrator in Panther

Dear Listers,

Situation: I have an iBook which I plan to offer to my sister. This ice
IBook's already running 10.3.2 (aka Panther).
Problem: My sister doesn't want my administrator/short name and password.
Question: How do I change its administrator/short name and password
without having to reinstall the whole system again?

Thanks in advance,
LM
