Tom: Supposing you've already wiped out all Mail app .plist files, have you tried the repair permissions routine?

Im not sure if this is a question for this list but here goes: I have a stock cube, maxed Ram, 80g HD. I just had to reinstall Panther and everything went well except the Mail app. is stuck on and won't let me shut down, restart, etc. Any ideas? Thanks
