I've used both the Seagate (7200.7, I think Barracuda V) and WD SE (8MB cache). I prefer the Seagate for it's quiet operation. I don't notice much of a heat difference between the 2, and certainly neither one is hot enough to cause a problem in my Cube. I have a base fan installed and a 1.2gHz CPU. Hope that helps. -Hal On Jul 13, 2004, at 3:30 AM, Woj wrote: > oplease advice > > ive found some info that newest barracuda is best > but erlier hdds od seagate was considered as hot ... > > thanks > > > ---------- > Check out the Cube email list FAQ > http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/Cube.html > > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <Cube-off at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > <Cube-digest at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > Need help from a real person?
