I had used Kensington track balls for years until about 3 years ago when I started having problems with the tendons in my thumb. If you think carpel tunnel in your hands is bad, try having it just in your thumb. I had to go back to a regular mouse, because the buttons on the trackballs were causing the problem. I had gotten used to not having a cable following me around, so I I started looking into wireless mice. I was still on OS 9 at the time, and the Logitech wireless duo looked good. I have been using it for almost three years now, and wouldn't go back to a wired mouse. Plus, the mouse has a wheel and two buttons, which one gets used to rather quickly. The whole setup, both mouse and keyboard, is programmable using the control panel you download from the Logitech web site. The major problem is that it stops working occasionally and the transmitter has to be unplugged and plugged back in. Annoying. I bought one of the Apple Bluetooth mice to use with my powerbook, but I miss the two buttons, even though it doesn't have the interruption problems that the Logitech one does.
