Get some of that information off your boot HD. Your G4 runs best with 20% or more of the boot HD empty. You say you have 1.4 gig empty and once you start your 3 programs you don't have anything left - what did you expect - a miracle. Give the processor some space to work with - remember, that 50 meg graphic needs to be tempararily remembered when you are using it (even if it's just where is the swap disk somewhere else) and so do all the system overheads that you cannot assign swap space, and so on, and so on, ... I am now going to suggest that you do a house cleaning and dump those 3 year old emails and all the crap you don't need. But maybe you did this already, so move the 10 - 15 gig of info off your boot drive and put it on an external (assuming the orig 20 gig HD) or get a bigger internal HD. Clear at least 10% of your boot drive or more, and plan to never fill it again. jj On Saturday, May 8, 2004, at 08:04 AM, Cube List wrote: > > my system is: > Powermac CUBE 450MHZ, > Studiodisplay 15" > 768 ram, > MacOS panther 10.3.3, > Maxtor external firewire HD 160GB, > Lacie porche external firewire HD 250GB > Agfa snapscan 1212 usb > hi there. > > I have been experiencing some annoying things with my cube lately. > > 1.
