DVD player error -5000??

Hi there,

I'm having problems playing DVDs on my cube - Panther 10.3.3 using the
internal drive and my external Pioneer DVD-RW.

When I open the DVD player, its says 'There was an initialization error
-5000'.

I think that means permissions but I've run the permissions first aid bla
bla bla and checked the permissions with DVD player and I can't work it out!

Any suggestions? (I've got a Geforce 2MX BTW)
