First thing that comes to mind is that your friend has blocked incomings from people who aren't on his buddy list, and perhaps you have too. Can he message you? iChat is just as brainless as AIM was. It had to be. On Sat, 2 Oct 2004, George Pepper wrote: > Yet another simple thing I can't figure out. A friend and I are composing some music and he wants to set up a chat to work on some stuff. I've never used iChat before (Back when I was an AOL droid, I used it all the time. I remember it being a brainless process). He is an AOL user. How do I get this thing to work? I added my name, and I'm "available". I added him to my "Buddy List", but that doesn't "do" anything. I tried sending an "invitation", but that doesn't "do" anything either (No indication if he's available or not. No response from iChat of any kind). I try to open up a chat with a person, but there is no way to get the info from the Buddy List to the invitation (Unless I'm missing something). WTF?! > > Oh.
