[Cube] Do the processor upgrade cards fix Firewire?

Hello,
I have an original Cube 500 that needs it's processor and video  
upgraded. And thanks to the list, I'll make informed selections.  
However, will all or any of these upgrades fix my Cube's bad Firewire  
port? Or will I be doomed to a fast but Firewire-less Cube?
