You may have lost more than the power supply. If there were other connections to the cube like a modem or printer, the lightning surge may have come in on one wire and gone out on another. Since you have another Mac, you may want to get an external FireWire hard drive enclosure and transfer the Cubes HD to the external box. This will allow you to backup your Cubes HD while you investigate wether the Cube can be resurected
