Does anybody know why a just received and described as refurbished and fully operationnal G4 Cube systematically refuses even to start? I have doublechecked with a friend's G4 Cube unit and everything else, power supply, speakers, keyboard, monitor work perfectly but in spite of hours of trying to start the Cube itself, nothing happens. When you touch the start spot on top, light goes on for a few seconds then shut down. Could it be a safety internal system providing automatic shutdown to avoid further damage ? I know they changed the HD from 20 to 80 G before sending it, and these are reliable sellers with top reputation (at least on eBay!) who tell me they tested the product. By the way, it came through UPS from NY, USA to Quebec , Canada. The two boxes were in perfect shape when they arrived, These are original packaging boxes, with everything nicely wrapped and tugged. So the only alternative now for me is to send it back and have to wait 15-20 days before getting my hands on what is for me a working tool, not a game device. So help ! If anyone reading this SOS has the faintest idea about what else I could do - I live in the country backbush and there are no Apple Sotre or certified shop at less than 10 hours drive - before I give up and call back UPS to return my unit. Thanks for reading and hopefully for sending me a tip or advice. Gilbert A.
