[Cube] Cube DC-VRAM-Board or what else?

Hi Stephan

I once had a Cube with a similar problem and finally realized after
investigating everything - inboard cardsand softwares - that the
multipins connector was at fault. Normal wear apparently??

I hope this is not your situation because even though I tried to get
the proper replacement part -local, national, continental and even
europe search- , I got nowhere - after alll our Cube units, as good
as they are, are now labelled as a vintage unit???- so finally I had
to buy myself another Cube, believe it or not.

Now the good side: a few months later, a friend of mine who is a
certified electronician dealing with hardware fixes and cures has
been able to restaure the old unit connection and it finally worked -
with a special home-made connector -, so my daughter today uses this
unit... with a VGA CRT screen wth no more problem. The extra piece
added wwas unstable when using the beautiful Apple CLD screen which
is collecting dust in my basement...what a pity!

After everything failed, sometimes the obvious remains to be looked
after...

Gilbert
