[Cube] Griffin iMic + Cube?

I have a Kensington iPod dock that I am trying to hook up to my Cube  
via iMic. I can go to the Sound preference panel, select the iMic as  
the input and see the levels moving on the input bar. I cannot,  
however, get sound to come out. I have the Harmon Kardon USB speakers  
+ a USB Subwoofer running but nothing with the iMic selected as  
input. Is this possible?
