[Cube] question

hi:
i hope there is is somebody around still. i haven't heard from the  
list in a while.
my questions are:
  can i use the speakers from the first flat screen imac on the cube?  
i remember them being usb. maybe i am wrong, i checked mactracker,  
but it only says apple pro speakers.i believe they can be used with  
an imic, am i correct?

can the original cube speakers be fixed? the foam surrounding it has  
disintegrated. i remember a long time ago that it  happened with my  
monster speakers and i took the woofer to a local place and they sold  
me a new one. i like the little round speakers.
