[Cube] bad news, i think

hi: my newly upgraded cube suddenly shut down and i heard a faint pop  
and a burnt smell. i haven't had the heart to try to boot. i just  
turned the battery off.
i upgraded yesterday to a gigadesign 1.4 mghz processor upgrade. i  
made sure the jumpers were in the correct position and followed the  
instructions to the letter. i even had an external fan pointed at it.  
when this happened i was downloading 10.5.2.
any ideas, suggestions, comments?
