Hello, The Geforce 2MX exists : http://www.welovemacs.com/nvdia64mb.html Luis: It will be a pleasure, even if there is only one to buy at this time. But let me wait a day or two :-))) Regards, Cyril -----Message d'origine----- De : cube-bounces at listserver.themacintoshguy.com [mailto:cube-bounces at listserver.themacintoshguy.com]De la part de Stefan Envoyé : lundi 14 janvier 2008 18:29 À : A place to discuss Apple's Cube. Objet : RE: [Cube] Re: graphic cards for the cube Hi Cyril, nice to read again from you :-) In fact my cube has a built-in GeForce 4 MX with 64 MB RAM and TwinView ADC/DVI. I believe it is only the 4 MX which has TwinView and not the 2 MX. (?) With my card I'm very happy. It is quite fast and allows use of two monitors indeed (theoretical). But since the VRM-board is a weak point of the cube (as you know...), I only tried it. And it worked. I regret to tell you: Since this trial I never used the GeForce with two monitors. And I built in a mini-fan (from Sunon) on the (passive cooled) chip of the GeForce. Without the fan the card became nearly too hot to touch. Although I have a large fan on the bottom of my cube (built in together with the Powerlogix-Upgrade). I found it too dangerous to use without and with two monitors and I don't think I'm too anxious. A least comment: it is necessary to find another place for the VRM-board since the GeForce is too broad. Personal conclusion: I wouldn't use the cube with TwinView, only with two DVI-Monitors or one DVI and one VGA. Not with DVI AND ADC. But that's only my opinion. To say it with James Bond: "who lives dangerous lives twice..." For other questions about the card please write. Stefan P.S. There's not enough place in the cube for the GeForce and the mini-fan. I removed the inner metal part (what was the expression for it? Gasket?
