I don't mind the HD size limitation of the Cube, because ProTools LE really requires an EXTERNAL FireWire drive (7,200 RPM, preferably), and so I use the MiniMate HD/Hubs I mentioned to kill two birds with a form factor that is almost exactly the same as a Mini (Same footprint as a Cube). The first one I got was 250GB and the one I just found is 500GB. Plus, of course, I get a 4xFW 400 and 4xUSB hub. It really is one of the coolest devices ever made for a Mini OR a Cube. I'm planning on putting at least a 60GB HD in the "Quiet Cube" I'm putting together - there are bazillions of those for first gen Xserves on eBay these days cheap - but I really don't need an internal drive any bigger than that, though I plan to max out with a 100GB drive for the Cube I'm building with fans. Pro Tools requires a LOT of RAM - 1GBat least, ideally - but the Cube can do that, so it really is the most logical choice for me at this point. I know a couple of Mini owners who went to booting from 3.5" external drives when their internals failed, but that is sort of missing the point of it being "mini" isn't it? LOL!
