I tried that additional measure with my 2300, but to no avail, the screen is still black. Not totally, if you hold it under a bright light you can make out the desktop, but other than that it's dark. I tried swapping the inverter board as suggested here, as well as the backlight bulb from the original cracked screen. Still no dice. When I try pressing the buttons on the left that are supposed to let you adjust the brightness of the screen, the little bar at the bottom of the screen says "Contrast" rather than "Brightness" and the contrast remains all the way to the left rather than being able to adjust anything. I wonder if that means anything? Any ideas anyone? Jackie > George, > > Sorry for my brief response: off course there are numerous things to try out > other > than selling out.
