I'll add my bit of anecdotal evidence here. I have a PB 1400 with a 16 GB hard drive, divided into four equal partitions. I tried using SCSI disc mode a couple times and was able to transfer data. When I checked it with TechTool Pro after that I found a lot of directory damage, but TTP was able to repair it. Based on that single experience, I would tend to agree that the total hard disc size is what matters, not the partition size. Feel free to try using SCSI disc mode with a larger drive that's been partitioned, but you may want to check it from time to time with a good repair utility. -wayne
