Have a look at  http://docs.info.apple.com/article2.html?artnum=16168
for a list of all the adapters for powerbooks of all ages.
The M3037 is billed as just for 5300 and 190 series machines; the Duos use a
range of adapters:
  M7783 for 210, 230, 250, 270c and 280 (25 Watt)
  M2693 for the 280c (36 Watt)
  M4174 (36 Watt) for the Duo 2300c and all Duo computers.

It therefore is _NOT_ compatible with the Duo series.

Hopefully Matt isn't the 'winner', but if he is I'd suggest he contact
the seller and point out it won't work in PB models such as 3400, and Duo.
