somewhere near the temporal coordinates of 1/13/03 6:08 PM, the entity known
as Pamela sexton transmitted the following from babbette1 at mac.com:

I started that topic and quite purposely put a smiley in there, just so
there'd be no misunderstanding.  Be at peace.  The "close the list" part was
entirely facetious -- the only serious intent was that, clearly, this new
12" AlPB is of the same basic form factor that members of this list love, so
where it fits into our lives is a good topic for discussion.
