Zapping PRAM in 280C .... GOES DARK & Green Light Blinks

Just replaced PRAM battery in 280C. Attemped to Zal Pram and now the Duo 
  goes black and the Green Light on lid blinks.. What can I do to fix???
                                   Jeff needs HELP!!!!
