It will probably take several tries, but hold down the reset button on the back for at least 60 seconds, and then release. You might also get results by also holding down the power key, but I don't remember if that was necessary too, but I don't think it can hurt. :-) You may need to repeat this process several times. I think your backup battery is dead as well. That's what's causing your problems.
