Greg,

It's ages since my last Duo was gone, but here's what I can remember:

a) If you have system 8.0 or 8.1, they include OT 1.2.

b) If you have 7.5.5 or 7.1, you can install OT 1.1.1 and then OT 1.1.2 
on top of OT 1.1.1. My SE/30 has 7.5.5, OT 1.1.2 and OT/PPP 1.0 and 
works fine. You can download everything from the Apple site.

>>> This I tried.  1.1.1 installs a bunch of junk, and the Mac/TCP says that Open Transport has not been activated.  1.1.2 says that it needs at least 1.1 to install.
        This would lead me to believe that 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 are simply the outer shell, not the core.
