[Duo2400] 2300c Start up Problems

Rich,
your startup disk may be corrupted. Do you get the blinking question mark?
As you have a mini dock you might try and start from a floppy or external HD
to find out. Another possibility: Unseated RAM card. You'd have to remove
the keyboard to take a look.
