Airport w/ Lucent wireless card?

Help!

As I was preapring to finally setup my 2400c for wireless, I discovered that 
Airport seems to be installed on my comet w/ OS9.1.

Before I remove the Airport software to install my orinoco software (which is 
advised), can I get the Airport software to work w/ my PC card?

As of the moment, the Airport software does not see any installed equipment 
to work..
