So, quite some time ago I tried to install a NewerTech G3 into my 2400c. It booted a few times, crashed both times during boot, and eventually would only GLOD. The factory processor worked fine. At the time, I thought I had fried my G3 card. A few months ago, I purchased a new in box Newer G3 for the 2400, and just attempted to install it tonight. I get the exact same results as with my last G3. This one I put some electrical tape where the card may have contacted the frame of the PowerBook, to avoid shorting it out. I got the machine to chime once, but didn't have the display connected at the time. Both installs, I was and am now sure that all of my connections were good. Has anyone run into this before? I'm thinking my poor 2400 may be needing a new power board. (If so, that will mean I've replaced every part in this little guy except for the processor. I screwed up a logic board by cutting a wrong wire, and the hinge on my first display sheared). -- Chuck Kenney FreeFall Software http://www.freefallsoftware.com/ for the record, google denies the existence of "shaved cake" -- xenocide -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
