David, MCE will do a great job, but as with most turn-key solutions you'll pay more for the drive. You might consider buying a 80MB Hitachi and sending it to MCE for install and have them do the CardBus upgrade at the same time. They should cut you a deal on the CardBus labor since you have to go all the way in to do the HD. The early Toshibas were problematic on the 2400, but that was 8 years ago. ;-). 2.5" drive will work. 3.5" was standard. Heat is always in issue with the 2400 so you might ask the installer to be sure the 2.5" is making contact with the heat sink and/or other heat absorption component. I think you'll be happily surprised how much quicker the 2400 will feel with a faster HD for most everyday task. cheers...
