At 06:10 AM 11/22/2005, Chris Wright, had this to say : >do any of you know of a software solution to share files with >computers on a windows network? I have a powerbook 2400c that i have >acquired about 7Gb of mp3s on which i would like to backup & would >rather not lose, i also have several windows computers running >either windows 2000, server 2003, or windows Xp. I know windows >used to have a afp protocall for xp but they no longer allow >downloads of it, I have downloaded an eval version of PC MacLan but >the installer doesn't seem to work for me.... any other ideas or >solutions? thanks for your help in advance... I am not sure if it still exists, but the Mac solution was Dave by Thursby software. It allowed Macs to connect to windows networks. That is how I used it. Not sure about going the other way with it though as it has been some years since I last used it. Sincerely, R.
