It probably IS a fuse, but I'm not good enough a surgeon to perform that kind of surgery. Disassembly and reassembly is fine, I consider myself a pretty good PowerBook surgeon, but when it comes down to component-level operation, my solderin' hand is not as steady as I'd like. In response to the question of will I sell it: once I get my new machine put together and stable from the parts I've collected, I'll probably sell the motherboard, processor, and 32 meg dimm (and it'll probably be about free...) I do plan on keeping my existing screen, chassis, hard drive, and plastics as spares however. When I'm ready to sell, I'll post here before putting it on ebay.
