I don't mind a project but just wondering how tough these babies are to piece back together. I've been inside several PBs in my day but I've also heard that the 2400 is particularly tough to work on. The only one I've ever seen is this one so I've got nothing to compare it to as far as a working unit goes. Well, like Jim Brown once said of gaining 1,000 yards rushing in a fourteen-game season - as opposed to when he used to do it frequently in only twelve games - "It's like walking backwards." The first time I dove into a 2400c, I was already well-versed in the insides of Wallstreets, Kanga/3400s, and everything that came before it. I thought that would prepare me... NOPE! :-D I never missed Torx-8 screws more than when I first tore down a 2400c! Man; screws, screw, screws!! Here, there, everywhere! Some vital, some totally unnecessary! I used to draw the outline of a 2400 on a few pieces of paper, then lay out the screws on the paper so that I might have some sort of screw matrix for the reassembly. But following a few online resources - including this list - it was all manageable, as long as I went slowly and carefully. Now, I can strip one down and back blindfolded. But at first? Yes, it was daunting... Craig W. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
