There's a button, directly above the floppy disk port on the back. If you remove the AC power cable, and the battery, and then hold that button in (push firmly, it has to travel a fair amount before it actually engages... you feel sort of a click) for about a minute (more is okay, less is not.) That should "hard reset" the PMU. Good luck!
