about the size of the laptop itself. put a feeler out for a etherdock,
thats what you need. If you only need ethernet in an office setting, look
for a DuoDock. The 2300c slides in liek a big zip drive and you can use
the 2300c as a desktop when you need internet. But since you mention
travel, i'd highly suggest a 2400c. It has two PCMCIA slots, a faster CPU
and also is PCI, not NuBus like the 2300c Duo is, which translates to  a
faster bus speed.
