Hello list, when I got my PowerBook 2400/180/112MB RAM 3 years ago, I opened it up using Kim Brennan's upgrade guide (http://members.aol.com/kim/ computer/duo/2400cpu/2400upgrade.html) to install a 6GB hard drive. I was a bit scared of killing the mainboard, so I did not activate the CardBus. While I believe that I am ready to do so now, all the formerly available resources and instructions seem to have vanished and the below links just produce "404's": www.ab.aeonnet.ne.jp/~tkishino/Cardbus-e.html www.10k.org/jake/comet/cardbus Does anyone still have instructions photos/illustrations on how to enable the CardBus on a 2400, either locally stored or as a link? Another problem occured just recently: as my 2400 is approaching its 10th birthday, the rubber feet's consistency changed into a gooey chewing-gum-like lump that got stuck on every surface I put the laptop on. I finally decided to scrape them out of their cavities. Working for a computer manufacturer in Taiwan, I am planning to ask one of our suppliers to produce 20 (minimum amount) "samples" that I want to use to replace the feet. If anyone in the list faces the same problem, please e-mail me off-list. As I won't have to pay for these samples and only need four, I would be happy to mail the remaining 16 to people in need... Cheers, Markus
