[DuoList] Can the PB Duo 280c use a CompactFlash card (Or other) in place of a hard disk?

I was thinking about this Duo 280c here and it occurred to me that the hard
drive is probably *elderly*. In fact, I'm surprised that it still boots and
runs with no obvious errors.

In a PC notebook that uses IDE drives, I could use a CF to IDE converter
with a CompactFlash card to replace the hard drive with something that has
no moving parts. However, as far as I know, this Duo 280c uses the SCSI
interface to work with disks (and possibly other things..).

Is it possible to replace the hard drive in the 280c, or not? If so, where
can I find such an adapter, and how do I install it? What would the
limitations be on CF card sizes?

If its not possible, then what is the largest capacity hard disk that the
280c can accept, and where can I find them for sale?

Thanks...
