There were some Green Light of Death (GLOD) posts in the past, but I've yet to hear about this series of symptoms: The machine suddenly freezes. I hard reboot (Command+Ctrl+Power). The hard drive is having a tough time spinning but it does, boots up to the desktop and then just freezes again. I try to hold down the power (on/off) button but no go so I do the hard reboot again. This time, I hear the hard drive spinning but the screen doesn't turn on. Some 10 minutes later, still no startup but the HD is still spinning. Next, I do something stupid. I unplug the AC Adapter and I hear a nasty loud screech from the HD and all is silent and I get the GLOD (Green light continuously lit). I next take out the battery and everything turns off (duh). What next? I don't know how to really diagnose it and I heard there's a place online you can send your PB to so that they can fix any bad fuses. Anyhow...what should I do? I unplugged everything and took out the Li-Ion battery. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Hung Doan hqdoan at gmail dot com
