Tech continues to evolve, for better or worse. Other than the screen and keyboard size difference, my phone beats the electronic pants off the 280c I have in a drawer. 3.6" screen, (comparitively) huge slide-out keyboard, 528 Mhz 32 bit processor, 288 MB RAM, 512 MB primary storage, expandable by adding 32 GB microSDHC chips, CDMA/GSM radios, BT, WiFi, 3.2 MP cam, etc... And it sold for cheaper than the 280c did when it was new. $599.99 plus tax. But that doesn't mean that I will throw the 280c away. I still turn it on every now and then for nostalgia purposes. It may only run for 5 minutes every now and then, but on the other hand, considering that it is about 15 years old it looks like it just left the showroom, hardly any wear, and its very likely elderly hard drive spins up and boots just fine.
