<DIV>About the dock and an external monitor: an Apple monitor is going to work, period. (unless it is HUGE) The basic duodock came with 512k of vram installed to enable external monitor support. A regular VGA monitor will most often need an adapter w/switches. Go to Ebay; there is a seller there called<Macraze's Mac Store>. He sells mac-to-vga adapters without switches for 3.00 plus 3.85 shpg, AND mac-to-vga adapters WITH switches for 3.94 plus 4.00 shipping. They will come with full info for settings. I agree with Art Rice about the monitor - use whatever works - and with the adapters, most will work. NEC might be the exception - I think the pin assignment is different, because a replacement signal cord must be NEC specific. But used monitors are so CHEAP now - and a no-name brand X will give a beautiful image. Don't worry about it. Hope this helps. PS - I really enjoy talking to others with the same interests!!!!!</DIV>
