[1394] Re: drive won't mount. OS 8.6

Greetings All,

I just installed a firewire/usb pci card in my venerable Mac 9500 
running OS 8.6 and haven't been able to see my firewire drive on the 
desktop.

Details:
PPC G-4 (upgrade card in proc. slot)
OS 8.6
Firewire Enabler 2.3.3 (latest driver listed for OS 8.6 as far as I know)
Firewire Cardbus Enabler 2.3.3
Firewire Support 2.3.3
Drive: EZQuest Cobra+

One thing I've noticed is that the Firewire Support extension is listed 
in the finder as a document, while the other two are listed as 
extensions. I've tried reinstalling them and it came out the same way. 
Is it supposed to be that way?

Any ideas would be appreciated. (OS upgrading is not an option due to 
third party hardware issues)
