Look into DV Backup. You can download it from www.macdownload.com by doing a search for DV Backup. Its shareware but works well once you pay for it to unlock it from a very limited mode. I agree that a external FW or USB drive is a better way to go however, no need to swap and replace wore out tapes. DV tapes are expensive and I wouldn't trust them to last more than a few years at the most.
