[FW] FW400 > FW800 Daisey chaining?

I just bought two Firewire drives equipped with FW400 and FW800 
ports. I don't have FW800 connections on any of my computers and was 
hoping to daisey chain these two drives. My other FW drives have two 
FW400 connections to allow this, but these drives have (1) FW400, and 
(2) FW800 connections. Can I connect the drive to the computer via 
the FW400 connection and then daisey chain the next drive via the 
FW800 connections?
