OSX Sound Extraction/Conversion Utility

 I am stumped on how to obtain or extract the cool 'new mail' sound that has
been in the Eudora mail program for years.

I really liked the sound and had a copy that worked great in OS9 but will
not work under OSX.  I tried the OS9 SoundApp utility to convert the file to
the OSX .aiff format.  SoundApp did the sex change; however,  the audio
level was so low on the G4 the sound is useless.

The new mail sound inside the Eudora 5.2 for OSX works great on G4 under
OSX; however, I have no idea how to extract the sound resource from the
application.  In the good old days (prior to OSX) it as pretty easy as we
had all kinds of  utilities to move resources around.

The bottom line is I am looking for the Eudora new mail sound in the .aiff
format that will play under OSX for personal use only.  Let me know if you
know of a OSX sound extraction utility.

What sounds easy has turned into a too hard exercise.
