Two possibilities come to mind. One, the G4's drive does not have as good error correction or it's laser isn't as capable of reading damaged disks as the newer iMac. Second, and most likely, there were so many errors on the disk that the data stream to the CD recorder wasn't fast enough and you got buffer under run errors. David Crandon "L.
