Superdrive?

I want to upgrade my G4/466 with a Superdrive.  I can get an internal Pioneer A05
for $229 from a place through pricewatch.com.  My friend says that iDVD3 will not
work with any Superdrive except an Apple Superdrive which supposedly has some ROM in
it or something.  I don't want to buy an OLD Superdrive (slow A03) I want a new fast
one.
