[G4] OS X crashes

The original problem is dubbed a "kernel panic."  Sadly, I also get 
them more with 10.2.4 and 10.2.5 than I had ever gotten them before, 
though only every few days.  Quite a few people implicate USB 
peripherals.  Can't live with them; can't live without them!
