[G4] DVD-R Questions

Thanks for the reply. Also available is DVR-106D ? Appears to be identical,
can be "flashed" with the  Pioneer firmware, but writes DVD+R as well as
DVD-R. Should I be concerned with the additional compatibility ? This new
IDE drive is available with a refurb USB external case for $195.00 at the
link listed below:

DVR-105 is available for $172.00.

would appreciate anyone's thoughts.
